Based in Tokyo, Jonathan serves Customer Experience professionals. He works with them to compare and contrast consumer and business technology trends in Japan with those in North America and Europe. He examines the best practices of companies creating groundbreaking customer experiences via online channels, including the mobile Web and new Social Computing channels.
Prior to this role, Jonathan was a country sales manager for Forrester Research in Japan, working with major Japanese technology and media companies. Jonathan helped launch Forrester's Japan office in 2000. Before joining Forrester, he worked in business development roles for TDK Electronics (UK) and for a trading company in Japan, exporting components to global manufacturers in the computer industry. He has lived in Japan for 12 years and is fluent in Japanese.Jonathan is a founding member of Japan's Persona Consortium, a nonprofit organization that researches the use of personas in the Japanese market. He has delivered presentations on personas and customer experience in Tokyo and Osaka. In November 2006, he delivered a keynote address on the future of Social Computing at the 2006 "Business Blog & SNS World" forum in Tokyo.
Jonathan graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Japanese studies.
